June was a special time for the Baptist Network Northwest as we had the privilege of hosting the National Conference for Regular Baptist Ministries. The four-day conference included four messages from the main speaker, Philip DeCourcy along with others who challenged us from the bible, including one of our own, Ryan Frank from Involve Church in Nampa Idaho. Great workshops and fellowship rounded out the week.
Tim Baker from Bethany Baptist in Salem Or. and Ryan Frank from Involve Church in Nampa ID. were elected to the GARB council of eighteen. The council meets three times a year to make policy and determine the best way to assist our churches in their respective ministries.

The 2022 Refresh retreat at Canon Beach was another great time of fellowship, rest and challenge from God’s word. Mark Bailey reminded us of our call to be men and women of integrity, grace and forgiveness in a world that needs to see the character of Christ in our lives. The comment we hear every year was echoed again this past week; “I look forward to this week all year long, and it’s always too short.” Thanks go out to Pete and Deb Steele along with Ben and Natalie Jacobs for their part in making this the highlight of our year.
