Organizational
Structure
The organizational structure of the BNN/NBHM is as follows:
COUNCIL OF 15:
A Council of 15 pastors, elected at the Annual Meeting of the Baptist Network Northwest, guides the Association. The Council has
no authority whatsoever over churches individually or collectively. It is not an
ecclesiastical hierarchy. Its function is advisory not supervisory. BNN is an
association of independent Baptist churches and no true Baptist church can
abandon its indigenous, autonomous identity.
The Council is accountable to our churches and serves as a planning body for the
functions of the Association. It is responsible to recommend to the churches,
for their approval, the Regional Pastor and other employees of the Association; to preserve and
perpetuate the unity and doctrinal purity of our corporate testimony; to plan
and promote the Associational events each year; to encourage the
churches of our Fellowship in evangelism and Church Planting and
to motivate our Fellowship to support our various Associational ministries.
MISSION COUNCIL:
The Council of 15 pastors also serves as the Mission Council of the Northwest
Baptist Home Mission, recommending to the churches the Director of the Mission
for their approval; overseeing the personnel, finances and church planting
activities of the mission.
